Valentine Studio
1. You are expected to attend your lessons regularly. If you cannot come to your lesson at your regularly scheduled time, you MUST cancel at least 24 hours in advance. All possible effort will be given to schedule a make-up time for lessons cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. After a semester schedule is agreed upon, you will have one (1) excused absence each semester (September-December, January-May, June-August). You are financially responsible for all other scheduled lessons whether or not you attend.
2. The number to call for cancellations is (505) 205-7750. If Miss Valentine does not answer, please leave a voice mail message stating your name, number, and the reason for your cancellation. Miss Valentine will return your call as soon as possible. Emails to smile4kar@aol.com are also acceptable for cancellations.
3. If Miss Valentine needs to cancel a lesson, she will give you as much notice as possible. The lesson will be made up at a mutually agreeable time or full credit will be given to the next unpaid lesson.
4. If you do not cancel 24 hours in advance, no make-up lesson will be scheduled.
5. Payment is due in full for each month by the 10th of each month. If a student does not pay for lessons in a timely manner, Miss Valentine reserves the right to cancel your lesson and charge you for your reserved time. Miss Valentine will be as flexible as possible for those with special financial needs or concerns – but you MUST communicate those needs to her and make special arrangements. If you have any problems, please inform Miss Valentine a.s.a.p. and lessons will be rescheduled as needed. Checks are to be made out to Karline Valentine.
6. Lesson fees are as follows: 60 minutes = $25.00 30 minutes = $12.50
7. You are expected to arrive at your lesson on time; it is up to you to use your paid lesson time.
8. Music will either be provided by Miss Valentine, or she may request that you purchase a certain volume of music that will be beneficial to your study. You are expected to bring all current music with you to each lesson and to be prepared.
9. You are expected to practice your music between lessons.
10. After all these "rules", which are for both parties’ benefit, the objective of music lessons is not only to learn better technique, but to HAVE FUN! If singing is not enjoyable, the voice will not work correctly, no matter how hard you try. So, relax, have fun, and make music. I look forward to working with you.
